Ingredients:
1/2 pound butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
3 large riped bananas mashed
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
pinch salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cups raisins
Method:
Cream together the butter and sugar. Add the egg asnd beat thoroughly. Add the bananas and beat well. Sift the flour and baking powder into the mixture. Then add the milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and vanilla. Blend, then add the raisins and mix well. Pour the batter into a buttered 9-inch loaf pan.
Bake in a preheated oven 350F oven for 1 hour or until a tester vomes out clean. place the pan on a wire rack to cool for 10 minutes. Then remove the bread from the pan and continue cooling on the wire rack.
