Ingredients:
1 pkg instant yeast
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs
5-6 cups bread flour or all-purpose flour
2 1/2 cups milk
1 tbs brown sugar
3 tsps salt
Method:
In the bowl of mixmaster place three cups flour, yeast, salt and sugar. Warm milk with butter to 115-120F, add milk mixture to flour, add eggs and beat to a soft dough. Add enough flour to knead to a soft smooth dough. Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead for about five minutes. Place in an oiled bowl and cover and let rise until doubled in volume, about 45 minutes. Preheat oven to 400F. Grease two nine by five-inch bread pans, divide dough into two sections and shape into loaves. Place in tins and let rise, covered, about 20 to 30 minutes. Bake until loaves are golden brown, 30 to 45 minutes, or until the loaves sound hollow when tapped on the underside.
