Facelift for Kitch
Newsday News, Tuesday, January 9th 2007

The dancing statue of Lord Kitchener situated on the Western Main Road, in front of One Woodbrook Place will get its first cleaning since it went up in 1994.

Yesterday morning Valerie Green (Kitch's wife), Gypsy , Errol Peru and Sean Jodhan managing director of Clarke and Battoo Funeral Agency began the project.

According to Peru, "I felt it was time to give Kitch a clean and prepare him for Carnival 2007 and all it took was one call to Jodhan and he readily agreed."

Jodhan says the project will be completed by month-end in time for the 7th anniversary of Kitch's death on February 11. Kitchener would have been 77 years old this year.
